🎯 What will you check in these tasks?
Going to the tasks is the most important step. Tests of language response in the eighth-grader exam do not only check your knowledge of vocabulary, but above all communication effectiveness. In the exercises below, you will test:
- Recognizing language functions: Can you distinguish a request for advice from a request for permission? (e.g. Can I…? vs Should I…?).
- Matching to the context: Does your answer match the relationship with the interlocutor? You will check when to use formal and informal phrases.
- Logic and coherence: You will learn to analyze what happens after your statement – the interlocutor’s answer (e.g. „Yes, I have”) forces a specific question structure.
- Precision in open tasks: You will practice entering short, grammatically correct missing fragments, for which you will get full 2 points on the exam.
- Quick response to „standards”: You will practice phrases that CKE loves: shopping, asking for directions, giving wishes and expressing opinions.
Remember: What matters on the exam is not how many complicated words you know, but whether your interlocutor will understand you. Ready to check your form?
